The  ROSA 18 month meeting was held from 16th to 19th April 2008 in Arba Minch, Ethiopia.

The 18 month meeting took place in Arba Minch, Ethiopia from the 16th -19th April 2008 with 29 participants. The meeting was hosted by the local ROSA team from Arba Minch at the Arba Minch University and the Bekele Mola Hotel.

For warming up at the first day we started with an excursion in Arba Minch to various interesting sites like the ROSA office, different types of pilot toilets, composting and urine applications in agriculture. The main topics of the meeting were the city presentations on the SSWP (strategic sanitation and waste plan) and the discussion of its implementation as well as the efforts on research.  On the last day we visited the Arba Minch springs of the municipal water supply. 

The project meeting was followed by workshops with stakeholders at the Arba Minch University on settlement structures and operation and maintainance.

It was an important, intense and positive meeting with a good outcome for the ongoing ROSA project work.
